Holism

We believe there are multiple aspects of a whole person, and that all these aspects (physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual) impact their well-being and success. We believe every person has a spirit and a spiritual aspect, meaning by “spirit” the invisible but real core of who they are as a person and meaning by “spiritual” that we are talking about the essence of what makes that person who they are.

Respect

We believe every person has a unique background, with beliefs and experiences that shape how they see themselves, others, the world around them, and what lies beyond their present circumstances. We believe every person is worthy of dignity and respect and our best efforts to help connect them with their own background, beliefs, and experiences as a primary spiritual resource.

Connection

We believe a person’s understanding of and relationship with themselves, others, and what lies beyond their immediate situation are relevant to their well-being and success. We believe people’s connections (whether in relationships with other people, relationships with a higher power, or connecting with their own values and beliefs) impact their well-being and success.
